This
Swedish born artist teaches courses in creativity and
painting based on inspirational Bauhaus methods in an
ecological artist’s village, Skärkäll,
near Gerlesborg. It is a unifying place for ecologically
concerned people and those interested in learning more
about aesthetics. Bengtson’s own work reflects
her own life style choices, one with dedicated immersion
in nature and its natural elements. Her experimental
workplace concepts have already been studied in depth
academically by the University of Gothenburg’s
Art & Architectural Dept.
Birgitta was educated first as a house building engineer
but then she went into the art and took a Bauhaus inspired
methods class. This was followed by art studies in Malmö,
Stockholm, Copenhagen and Paris.
"During the past 12 winters, I have spent my time
in Morocco and painted. I live otherwise in Bohuslän
since 16 years”.
